Ultimately, the success of any website or app depends on how well it meets the needs of its target audience. Though Netflix’s prediction engine may not be perfect, we can expect to see this feature become less and less experimental over time. The engine will likely become accurate and reliable for most users and hopefully improve as new user data is fed in.
